Chief Edward Plaugher

Retired Fire Chief

After serving 24 years with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department, and retiring as a Deputy Fire Chief, Ed was appointed to the position of Fire Chief for the Arlington County Fire Department in Arlington, Virginia. He held this position until his retirement in June 2004. In August of 2004, at the annual meeting of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, he was named "Career Fire Chief of the Year" by Fire Chief Magazine.
