Logotypes for Digital Media
When using academic and administrative logotypes—also called lockups—for digital media, please follow these approved guidelines.
File Type
All Drexel University logotypes should be implemented using PNG image files with transparent backgrounds. Do not flatten, add a background color, or create JPG versions of logotype artwork.
Color Combinations
One-color logotypes should not be used for for digital media. The following color combinations are approved by University Marketing and Communications.

Blue or Dark Background
When a logotype appears on a blue or dark-colored background, the dragon icon and university wordmark must be yellow (#FFC600) and the organizational unit workmark must be white (#FFFFFF).
Yellow or Light Background
When the logotype appears on a yellow or light-colored background, the dragon icon and university wordmark must be blue (#07294D), and the organizational unit workmark must be black.
Specifications
Dimensions
To ensure legibility and a consistent presentation, the height of the dragon icon in a logotype should be 75 pixels. Exceptions may be allowed to accommodate the overall height of a particular lockup due to the layout and length of the name of the entity. A custom logo may be provided for website use only. Widths will vary based on the length of the wordmark element.
Padding
The minimum required space around a logotype used for digital media should be one half the dragon icon's height on all sides.
Decoration
Drexel logotypes should not have any decorative effects applied; including, drop shadows, glows, bevels, embossing, or stroke lines.
