Internal Sitecore Links
Use internal Sitecore links when linking to pages or files (PDF, DOC, PPT,
etc.) that are also hosted in Sitecore. Never use absolute URLs
(drexel.edu/abc/xyz).
Page Links
- Click Show Editor (usually for the
Body field) and highlight the text you want to display as
a link.
- Click Insert Sitecore Link.
- In the Insert a Link window, select Internal
Link and then click the page you want to link to.

Click Link. You will see the blue hyperlink
Sitecore created in the Text Editor field.
- Click Accept if you are finished editing.
- Save and Approve for
Publication.
File Links
- Click Show Editor (usually for the
Body field) and highlight the text you want to display as
a link.
Note: When linking to a file, add
the file type in square brackets and all uppercase after the link text
as part of the link (e.g., [PDF], [DOC], [PPT]). This is
required for accessibility compliance. Example: Sitecore Basics
[PDF].
- Click Insert Sitecore Link.
- In the Insert a Link window, select Media
Items, expand the Files folder, and then click
the file you want to link to.

Click Link. You will see the blue hyperlink

- Click Accept if you are finished editing.
- Save and Approve for
Publication.
