This modern pop-up display, free and open to the public, was developed by Drexel and the Atwater Kent Collection with ISA and Center City District Foundation.

 

The exhibition will give visitors a unique experience of the first world’s fair held in the US—the 1876 Centennial Exposition—through a series of glowing pavilions representing Centennial structures, souvenir artifacts, an aerial video comparing the city and Fairmount Park fairgrounds then and now, and more.

 

Artifacts include Centennial objects from the Atwater Kent Collection (collection of the former Philadelphia History Museum, which Drexel is stewarding), as well as the Drexel Founding Collection. Don’t miss it!
