In honor of National Postdoc Appreciation Week (NPAW) which will be taking place from September 19-23, 2023, Drexel's Office of Postdoctoral Affairs will be hosting a special workshop for postdocs and PhD students interested in obtaining a Green Card for research. This event is open to the public.

This workshop will be presented by Getson & Schatz, P.C. Law Firm and will teach scientists how to successfully obtain a Green Card in the United States through the EB-1 and NIW categories. Researchers will also learn about the United States immigration process and how to maximize chances of success and how to avoid costly mistakes. Learn more about the Green Card Process for researchers here.

About the Speaker:

Brian Getson is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School with more than 25 years of experience. He is a leading U.S. immigration lawyer who represents scientific researchers in applying for green cards and is the principal of a boutique immigration law firm based in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Getson has given presentations on “Green Cards for Scientific Researchers” at numerous major scientific conferences, including at the Wistar Institute, and at universities.
