Conditional Admission Program
For international undergraduate students who meet the admission criteria of the University but who would benefit from additional language preparation based on their TOEFL or IELTS scores, Drexel offers the International Gateway program. Students in the Gateway program receive a foundation year of study, full immersion into campus life, and dedicated student resources. Gateway students spend 9–12 months on campus preparing to matriculate to a Drexel undergraduate major upon successful completion of the program.
The benefits of the Gateway program include:
- Completion of up to 21 transferable credits in core coursework topics such as Math, Chemistry, Communications, and Philosophy, in addition to English preparation.
- Housing options, both on- and off-campus.
- The Intercultural Community Bridge Program, which connects Gateway students with other Drexel students and community members so that they can share experiences and cultural knowledge.
- Access to all of Drexel's campus facilities and resources, and the ability to be an active member in campus life.
