EarthFest is Drexel’s annual block party celebrating the University’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Held sometime during the week of Earth Day each year, the event is free and open to the University community, including students, faculty, professional staff and community members. Schools, colleges, departments, student organizations, community groups and vendors are invited to participate by providing information, games, raffles and other activities promoting sustainability.
On Thursday, April 22, 2021, Drexel Climate & Sustainability held a virtual and in-person EarthFest event at the Rush Building Garden. Students were invited to participate in a scavenger hunt and to speak with the Climate & Sustainability working group, the Lindy Center and Procurement Services about sustainability at Drexel. Special thanks to Landscape Services for performing a tree planting. Everyone involved is looking forward to future events and excited about the current work being done to support Climate Year at Drexel University and the Academy of Natural Sciences.
