Pamela Herrick
Pamela Herrick is a museum consultant and curator supporting organizations in strategic planning, board development and training, interpretive programming and exhibitions. She is keenly interested in how organizations work and in improving administrative processes in order to amplify mission-driven outcomes. In addition to consulting roles with historic sites, museums and historical societies, Pamela has been director of Washington Irving’s Sunnyside, a property of Historic Hudson Valley, and the Ulster County Historical Society.
Pamela was adjunct faculty in the M.A. Program in Museum Studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology and served as a field reviewer for the New York State Council on the Arts Museum Program. Her research projects include historic resource studies for the National Park Service’s Vanderbilt Mansion and FDR’s Top Cottage National Historic Sites.
Ms. Herrick holds an M.A. from the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture. She was the Helena Hayward Scholar of the Attingham Summer School for the Study of Historic Houses and Collections. She is past president of the Greater Hudson Heritage Network, a museum service organization, and has served on boards of museums and preservation organizations.
