Steven Weber, PhD, is the Senior Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs at Drexel University.

Biography

Steven Weber, PhD, began his appointment in the Provost's Office as Vice Provost for Undergraduate Curriculum and Education on January 1, 2023 and serves as Senior Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs since January 1, 2026. He is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) in the College of Engineering and Computing (CoEC) and has been a member of the faculty since joining Drexel in 2003. Previous significant appointments at Drexel include ECE Department Head (2017-2022), Founding Director of the Drexel Cybersecurity Institute (2014-2020), and ECE Associate Department Head for Graduate Affairs (2011-2015). His research expertise is in mathematical performance modeling and optimization of wired and wireless computer and communication networks.

About the Office

The Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs is charged with creation of a distinctive learning experience for Drexel University’s undergraduate students, establishing collaborative networks across the University, and supporting the development and evaluation of quality program and interdisciplinary initiatives. The Office seeks to advance the Provost’s academic priorities by overseeing undergraduate academic program and course development as well as curricular enhancement, working closely with the school deans and Faculty Senate on academic planning and strategy, establishing best practices, and enhancing academic support for students.
