Pa. Will Expand Its Innovative 'Little Scandinavia' Unit in SCI Chester to Three More State Prisons

Ongoing research by Jordan Hyatt, PhD, JD, an associate professor and director of the Center for Public Policy, testing a Scandinavian-inspired approach to incarceration to reduce recidivism rates in Pennsylvania prisons was featured in a March 9 Philadelphia Inquirer story about the model's success at State Correctional Institution-Chester and plans to implement it at three more state prisons.
