Historical Society Set Out To Make Video About Ice Cream, but Went Viral for Stumbling Upon Details of Murder

Emma Hirt, an undergraduate in the College of Arts and Sciences, was featured in an Aug. 2 Philly Voice story about her co-op experience with the Historic Society of Philadelphia, which led to her creating a viral TikTok video after HSP's Instagram campaign about the history of ice cream in Philadelphia uncovered the shocking story of a murder at a confectionary shop in the 1800s.
