With Nation's First City-Owned Mussel Hatchery, Philly Employing Bivalves in Battle to Improve Water Quality

Danielle Kreeger, PhD, a research associate professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, was interviewed for a May 1 PlanPhilly story on Philadelphia’s new city-owned freshwater mussel hatchery. The college along with the Academy of Natural Sciences has partnered with the city for the hatchery, of which Kreeger serves as lead scientist. Roger Thomas, of the Academy, was also interviewed.
