Loyc Vanderklyusen, PhD, an assistant professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, was quoted in numerous stories on Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 about his research on an asteroid impact that ignited volcanic eruptions, leading to the last mass extinction on Earth. Stories in The Guardian, San Francisco Chronicle and Reuters, were picked up by dozens of outlets, including the New York Times Online and Yahoo! News.
