Newly discovered dinosaur named after local software firm owner

A business column in The Philadelphia Inquirer on Sept. 14 featured a story about the naming of the dinosaur Dreadnoughtus schrani. Kenneth Lacovara, PhD, an associate professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, who led the discovery, and Adam Schran, the entrepreneur who donated funds to support Lacovara’s ongoing research, were quoted. A story on Time Warner Cable TV news in North Carolina also featured the discovery and quoted Alison Moyer, a 2008 College of Arts and Sciences alumna who was part of the discovery team.
