Dr. Argie Allen, director of clinical training for couple and family therapy in the College of Nursing and Health Professions, was interviewed in a September 26 segment on NBC’s “Today” showabout chronic lateness.

John Maxwell, assistant teaching professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, was interviewed on CBSPhilly.com on September 23 about working in the field of criminal justice.

Dr. Ellen Staurowsky, a professor in the Goodwin College of Professional Studies, was quoted throughout a Newsday story on September 21 about paying college athletes. Her research with the NCPA was also mentioned in a Salon.com article on September 21.

Dr. Paul Shattuck, an associate professor in the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute and School of Public Health, was quoted in a September 18 HealthDay article about young adults with autism who are less likely to have jobs. The story continued to be picked up in numerous outlets including Yahoo! Health, WomensHealth.gov and various ABC, FOX, CBS, NBC, and The CW affiliated websites.

WHYY-FM and Newsworks.org on September 15 featured Dr. Paul Shattuck, an associate professor in the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute and School of Public Health, in a story about his new position at Drexel and his research emphasis on better understanding the challenges and needs of young adults with autism.

Dr. George Ciccariello-Maher, an assistant professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, was interviewed on September 14 on Radio America’s “For Your Ears Only” about his new book on the Venezuelan revolution.

Dr. Ellen Staurowsky, a professor in the Goodwin College of Professional Studies, was interviewed on American Public Media’s "Marketplace" on September 11 about boosters supporting college athletes. Her research with the NCPA on paying college athletes was also mentioned in a Washington Timesopinion piece on September 12.

Dr. Yaba Blay, an assistant teaching professor and co-director of the Africana Studies program in the College of Arts and Sciences, was featured in the Philadelphia Daily News on September 12 for creating a “care package” for a 7-year-old girl who was banned from school because of her hairstyle.

Dr. Chuck Williams, an associate teaching professor in the College of Arts and Sciences and School of Education, was interviewed live on Al Jazeera America's “America Tonight” program on September 12 about the state of public education.

Research by Dr. Ellen Staurowsky, a professor in the Goodwin College of Professional Studies, and Drexel’s department of Sport Management with the National College Players Association was referenced in a TIME magazine cover story on September 6 about whether or not college athletes should be paid. The research also was mentioned in a Time.comblog post about the piece on September 5.

Drexel was mentioned in a KYW Newsradio (1060-AM) story on September 1 for opposing the placement of discount bus service stops on University-owned property on JFK Boulevard.
