Ana E. Núñez, MD
Núñez is a practicing internist in Center City Philadelphia, specializing in community health education and sex and gender medicine. She has expertise in a holistic, patient centered approach to care – attending to unique issues for the individual patient. She has expertise in how sex and gender impact health care and outcomes, for men as well as women. She also has developed innovative community outreach programming on improving access, providing practical tips on wellness and disease prevention, and managing chronic illness. Her Philadelphia Ujima project has more than 28 region-wide collaborators working together to improve the health of people living in Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She has expertise in nutrition and health, women’s heart health, health literacy, minority health, the impact of culture on health and primary care education.
