Children born to mothers who take antiseizure medications to manage seizures and psychiatric conditions during pregnancy may face increased risks of neurodevelopmental conditions, according to new data from researchers at Drexel’s Dornsife School of Public Health.
New research from Drexel University’s A.J. Drexel Autism Institute found that the use of standardized autism screening during pediatric well-child visits identifies more children with high autism likelihood at a younger age, including those presenting with more subtle symptoms.
The cybersecurity refrain when encountering phishing emails invariably advises: “don’t click on that link” and “report that email” — but new research from Drexel University and Arizona State University has revealed a problematic reality: Most major companies do little to support reporting and few take action to shut down phishing sites disguised as their own after they have been reported.
West Philadelphia community members will have access to a greater array of technology resources, from computer repair to telehealth privacy booths, at Drexel University’s Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships, thanks to a $1.5 million grant from the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority. The funding is part of an initiative created as part of the American Rescue Plan Act to support construction and upgrades of multi-purpose community facilities. Drexel’s is one of 49 projects statewide to receive support from the program.
