2024 Philadelphia Juneteenth Parade & Festival
Drexel University was a proud co-sponsor of the 2024 Philadelphia Juneteenth Parade & Festival, one of the largest Juneteenth celebrations in the nation, held in West Philadelphia. On June 16, more than a dozen Drexel students, faculty, professional staff and family members rode on a float in the two-mile parade, which was grand marshaled by Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker.
Drexel also had a booth at the festival in Malcolm X Park with health screenings, information and giveaways from Admissions and Enrollment Management, the College of Medicine, College of Nursing and Health Professions and the Academy of Natural Sciences.
