Where to Eat Near Drexel’s University City Campus

Last month, DrexelNow published an article about what campus amenities would be available to students (and, in some cases, faculty and professional staff) this fall due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
To continue providing information of what’s open and running near campus, and at a time when the city of Philadelphia gradually loosens restrictions on local businesses, DrexelNow put together a list of dining establishments that are available for dining and take-out near Drexel University’s University City Campus.
A few notes:
- Restaurants might open or close or change due to the pandemic and the city’s dining regulations, so please visit the individual business’s website or confirm with the establishment for hours and further details around their current operations. You can visit the Business Services Dining and Retail Directory for a full list of local businesses.
- The list below is specifically for pick-up orders or dining in, not delivery.
- Online ordering options below do not include third-party apps like Grubhub and Uber Eats. If you want to order from a restaurant below using third-party apps, you can search for it on your preferred app.
- For restaurants and eateries located on or near the University of Pennsylvania’s campus, check out the Shops at Penn’s website and its latest offerings.
Drexel Campus Dining
Northside Dining Terrace’s Market Convenience Store and the Market Hot Bar are open; the Market Hot Bar has fresh-made hot entrees and sides for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A DragonCard is required to access Northside Dining Terrace.
Take-out: Yes. You can order/pick out in person or online (see below).
Online ordering: The Market Hot Bar is not doing order ahead (yet), but the Market is doing order ahead. Students with a Dining Plan can order ahead using the GET mobile app (mobile ordering app) available through Apple and Google app stores.
Dine-in: Northside Dining Terrace is not offering dine-in, but there are outdoor tables available for dining, including an enclosed tent across from Northside Dining Terrace.

Saxbys
The Saxbys located in the Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building (PISB) at 3425 Chestnut St. is not open. The Saxbys located at 65 N 34th St. is open.
