Inspire a Child to Dream Day Returns to Drexel on April 25
Drexel University's annual Inspire a Child to Dream Day is modeled after the national "Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work®" program. Children between the ages of 6 and 12 of Drexel faculty and professional staff members are invited to attend a day of learning and fun activities. The day will be divided into sessions lasting approximately 45 minutes each. Children will be grouped according to age for the activities.
This year's event will take place on April 25. You must register your child by April 5 in order to attend. There will be no way to accommodate walk-ins on the day of the event.
While this event always offers new and interesting experience to the children it serves, this year has a special treat for children and their parent or guardian — a trip to the Academy of Natural Sciences at Drexel University (ANS). All children must be accompanied by their parent or guardian in order to attend. To register for the ANS trip, please select “Yes, we will attend the ANS Tour” on the registration form.
Parents and children can board a special shuttle to ANS between 1:15–1:30 p.m. They will be greeted with a scavenger hunt and successful participants will be rewarded with a small prize. At 2:30 p.m., children and their parents are invited to a show in the auditorium, or they can enjoy the many wonders of the Academy’s collection. The shuttle will depart ANS to return to the University City campus between 3:15–3:30 p.m.
This year’s Inspire a Child to Dream is sure to be a success. In 2018, more than 100 children were educated and inspired by an inside peek of the world of work at Drexel University. To register your child, or for more information, click here.
