Drexel’s Leonard Pearlstein Gallery will open Where the Artists Are (in their studios), an exhibition of sculpture, drawings and paintings by three professors in the Westphal College of Media Arts & Design.
Examining several years of each artist’s practice, this exhibition will explore the intellectual and technical characteristics that distinguish their daily working routines; what draws them into their studios, excites them and ultimately keeps them there.
Studio work is how artists spend their days and this show closely examines how each artist’s unique experiments, frustrations, discoveries and digressions ultimately grow into cohesive bodies of work. The opening reception will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 17 from 5-7 p.m. and the exhibition will run Tuesday, Jan. 16 through Sunday, March 18. The gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
