Share Your Accomplishments for a Faculty and Staff Engagement Word Cloud
Are you a Drexel faculty or staff member who’s recently published an article, hosted an event or chaired a committee?
Whether they’re big or small, it’s time to share your accomplishments with your colleagues. This week, Drexel HR will be turning them into a word cloud. According to Lindsay Snyder Norlen, director of organizational effectiveness, the team has received around fifteen submissions so far, most of which were submitted on behalf of teams or faculty partnerships. They’ve run the gamut from faculty members earning new degrees to launching new programs and collaborating across colleges.
The word cloud is part of the Faculty and Staff Engagement Program, which launched last June with the implementation of half-day summer Fridays and continued with benefits like campus massages and free access to the Recreation Center.
“We’ve offered different perks, but we haven’t really gotten a chance to celebrate the accomplishments of our faculty and staff,” said Norlen.
To participate in the word cloud, summarize your accomplishment in 1-3 sentences and send it to hr@drexel.edu by Feb. 28. Participants will be entered into a raffle to win a book about mindfulness-awareness by a still-under-wraps author who will be speaking at the university in April.
Norlens says there are other initiatives planned for the engagement program this spring and beyond — but they like to keep them a secret. If you have engagement ideas of your own, you can share them with Norlen at les37@drexel.edu.
