Drexel’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law is now one of only 12 institutions nationwide to receive accreditation from the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) for its Master of Legal Studies (MLS) and certificate programs, all of which can be completed entirely online.
The CCB’s compliance certifications recognize professionals from various industries who have met its criteria for competence in compliance and ethics. With this accreditation, students who have completed the MLS or certificate programs will be eligible to sit for a CCB exam without completing the required professional work experience or needing additional continuing education requirements.
“This accreditation is recognition from a very well-respected, nationally-recognized compliance organization that the work we’re doing in the Master of Legal Studies program is at the highest level and really prepares our graduates for the work force, as evidenced by the fact that the work requirement is waived. The courses we offer combine academics with very practical real-world scenarios that prepare our graduates to tackle live issues in the workplace,” says Aimée Kahan, director of the Master of Legal Studies program and assistant professor of law. “This accreditation confirms that the Master of Legal Studies at the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University is one of the foremost legal compliance programs in the country and will further enhance our competitiveness in this growing market.”
