Education For All

"The group work was, honestly, a mixed experience, mostly productive, but not without friction. Coordinating with peers on a shared resource meant navigating different schedules, different working styles, and different senses of urgency about deadlines. There were moments where communication broke down or where decisions about the resource took longer than they should have. That said, I do not think it was a bad experience; I think it was a realistic one.

My strongest contributions to the group were in the research and the construction of the resource itself. Finding credible, accessible sources on education inequality and figuring out how to present that information clearly for an audience. I wanted to present on taking real steps to contribute to helping educational inequality. I wanted to share my experiences, hoping that others would take the chance to make experiences in volunteering for a social issue like mine. Other group members brought different strengths, and the final product was better for having multiple perspectives shaping it, even when the process of getting there was uneven."
