SBA Elections for the 2025-2026 Academic Year

It’s time for the SBA elections! If you’re passionate about making a difference at Kline School of Law, now’s your chance to get involved and represent your peers.

ABOUT THE SBA:

The Student Bar Association (SBA) acts as the bridge between law students, faculty, and administration. By being a member, you’ll be involved in:

  • Organizing signature events like Cocktails for a Cause, the Dean’s Cup, and Barristers’ Ball
  • Co-facilitating Anti-Racism Conversations with the Dean of Diversity and Inclusion
  • Collaborating with the Career Strategies Office (CSO) to boost public law programming
  • Supporting the Public Interest Experience (PIE) Committee’s fundraising efforts
  • Connecting with the ABA, PBA, and the Philadelphia Bar Association for updates on bar activities and exams
  • Leading and supporting student organizations

ELECTION SCHEDULE:

Rising 2L Representative Elections (For Current 1Ls)

  • Friday, March 21st (by 11:59 PM): Submit your Candidate Form, including your poster and statement. Link here
  • Friday, March 28th (1:30 PM, via Zoom): Candidate Speeches Join Zoom here
  • Monday, March 31st – Friday, April 4th (by 5:00 PM): Voting Period
  • Saturday, April 5th: Announcement of Winners

Rising 3L Representative Elections (For Current 2Ls, AJD Class of 2026, Global JD Class of 2026)

  • Friday, March 28th (by 11:59 PM): Submit your Candidate Form, including your poster and statement. Link here
  • Friday, April 4th (1:30 PM, via Zoom): Candidate Speeches Join Zoom here
  • Monday, April 7th – Friday, April 11th (by 5:00 PM): Voting Period
  • Saturday, April 12th: Announcement of Winners

Note:

  • Each class will elect six (6) representatives.
  • The Accelerated Program will elect two (2) representatives.
  • The Global Program will elect two (2) representatives.
  • Speeches will be recorded via Zoom and shared with the class for viewing before voting.

Executive Board Elections

  • Monday, April 14th (by 11:59 PM): Submit your Executive Board Candidate Form, including your statement. (You can only run for the Executive Board if you've been elected as a class representative first.) Link here
  • Wednesday, April 16th (6:00 PM, via Zoom): Candidate Speeches Join Zoom here
  • Wednesday, April 16th (6:00 PM, via Zoom): Live Voting & Announcement during the final SBA General Body Meeting.
