The Drexel University Office of Faculty Advancement (OFA) supports faculty members at all ranks throughout their careers at Drexel. The Office provides support from recruitment to retirement for career advancement, skill development, professional growth and satisfaction.
OFA develops and implements initiatives to enhance faculty recruitment, success and retention; manages faculty appointments, promotions, tenure and retirement; creates innovative programs to help faculty continuously improve their teaching, research, and scholarly, clinical or creative work; develops and implements guidelines and policies; ensures implementation of national best practices in faculty affairs; and supports work-life balance initiatives.
Faculty are the intellectual heart of the University and are integral to advancing Drexel’s mission of preparing each new generation of students for productive professional and civic lives while also focusing our collective expertise on solving society’s greatest problems. The Office of Faculty Advancement supports Drexel faculty throughout the entire professional lifecycle. We work with partners across the University to attract, retain and advance a diverse faculty at all ranks and to support the pursuit of excellence in teaching, learning and scholarship.
