TENURE AND PROMOTION

Materials and Calendar for Tenure and Promotion Review in 2026-2027

• Candidate submits dossier to Department Head no later than August 18, 2027.
• Dean forwards candidate's official dossier via SharePoint to the Office for Faculty Excellence & Academic Culture no later than January 15, 2027.

TENURE-TRACK MID-POINT REVIEW

Materials and Calendar for Tenure-Track Mid-Point Review in 2026-2027

• Candidate submits dossier to Department Head no later than February 2, 2027.
• Dean forwards candidate's Mid-Point review dossier and drafts of letters to the Office for Faculty Excellence & Academic Culture (ofeac@drexel.edu) no later than April 16, 2027.

NON-TENURE-TRACK PROMOTION

Materials and Calendar for Non-Tenure Track Promotion in 2026-2027

• College/School notifies the Office for Faculty Excellence & Academic Culture (ofeac@drexel.edu) of candidates applying for promotion no later than October 23, 2026.
• Candidate submits dossier to Department Head no later than January 15, 2027.
• Dean forwards candidate's official dossier and drafts of letters to the Office for Faculty Excellence & Academic Culture (ofeac@drexel.edu) no later than April 23, 2027.

SABBATICAL APPLICATION

Materials and Calendar for Sabbatical Application Cycle for Sabbaticals in 2027-2028

• A Sabbatical Information Session will be held on September 16, 2026 via Zoom. Please register here for that session. If you are unable to attend, a recording of the session, as well as the presentation slides, will be made available afterwards on this page. Please register at the above link to receive an email when those materials are posted.
• Candidate submits non-binding Intent to Apply for a Sabbatical Form (via MS Forms) no later than October 16, 2026.
• Cover Page and Proposal Application and full CV are submitted as a single PDF file by the candidate to their Department Head no later than October 30, 2026.
• The complete proposal package is forwarded by the Dean to the Office for Faculty Excellence & Academic Culture (ofeac@drexel.edu) no later than December 1, 2026.

DISTINGUISHED PROFESSOR NOMINATION

• Dean forwards complete nomination packages to the Office for Faculty Excellence & Academic Culture (ofeac@drexel.edu) no later than October 1, 2026.

EMERITI FACULTY APPLICATION

Materials and Calendar for Emeriti Faculty Applications in 2026-2027

• An Information Session for retirees considering applying for Emerit status will be held on September 25, 2026 via Zoom. Please register here for that session. If you are unable to attend, a recording of the session, as well as the presentation slides, will be made available afterwards on this page. Please register at the above link to receive an email when those materials are posted.
• Candidate submits non-binding Intent to Apply for Emeritus/Emerita Status Form no later than October 30, 2026.
• Cover Page and Application for Emeritus/Emerita Status submitted by the candidate to their Department Head no later than December 1, 2026.
• Complete application package is forwarded by the Dean to the Office for Faculty Excellence & Academic Culture (ofeac@drexel.edu) by January 14, 2027.
