FACULTY ANNUAL REVIEW

The general timeline for faculty reviews (subject to adjustment, with notice) is as follows:

Instructions

Before uploading CVs to the online system, faculty members will be asked to highlight in yellow any new achievements from the 2020-2021 year or works in progress so the department heads and their delegates can pay particular attention to new content. The checklist [PDF] will guide faculty in documenting and highlighting their accomplishments.

Here is an example [PDF] of the faculty evaluation you will complete in Career Pathway. The evaluation will available for faculty to access in the fall. If your department head requires any other department specific information, they will let you know prior to the opening of the system. Department heads and their delegates will have access to the source systems, including Banner and AEFIS, for teaching data.

Please note the following when entering information into the electronic review:

  • Any question response in the evaluation (see example) is limited to 10,000 characters. Anything over that character limit will not be accepted by the system.
  • The system uses a rudimentary text editor, and therefore complex formatting (tables, etc.) should not be used. Pasting a table into the system can result in incorrect display.

SABBATICAL LEAVE APPLICATIONS

  • Non-binding brief statement of intention to apply for sabbatical leave should be submitted to Dean and emailed to sabbaticals@drexel.edu by October 16, 2021 (this is not a policy requirement).
  • Cover page, written proposal, and full CV to be submitted electronically as a single PDF file to Department Head by October 31, 2021. Proposal package is forwarded to respective Dean and then sabbaticals@drexel.edu by December 1, 2021.

EMERITUS/A APPLICATIONS

  • Application for Emeritus/a status initiated by the candidate by December 1, 2021.
  • Complete application packages due by the Colleges/Schools to the Office of Faculty Affairs by January 15, 2022. Please email the applications to Remy Van Wyk, Manager, Faculty Lifecycle, (rv434@drexel.edu) with a cc to facultyaffairs@drexel.edu.

TENURE AND PROMOTION CANDIDATES

Full Tenure and Promotion Calendar

  • Candidate submits dossier to Department Head no later than August 24, 2021.
  • Dean/Director forwards candidate’s official dossier electronically to the Provost via SharePoint no later than January 25, 2022.

TENURE TRACK MID-POINT REVIEW CANDIDATES

Full Mid-Point Review Calendar

  • Candidate submits dossier to Department Head no later than February 5, 2022.
  • Mid-point review dossier forwarded electronically to the Office of the Provost for file no later than May 3, 2022.

NON-TENURE TRACK PROMOTIONS

Full Non-Tenure Track Promotion Calendar

  • College/School notifies Provost Office (via Office of Faculty Affairs at facultyaffairs@drexel.edu) of candidates applying for promotion no later than October 22, 2021.
  • Candidate submits dossier to Department Head no later than January 25, 2021.
  • Dean forwards candidate's official dossier and recommendation to the Provost (via Office of Faculty Affairs at facultyaffairs@drexel.edu) no later than May 14, 2022.
