The McGonigal Academic Resource Center (ARC)
The ARC is dedicated to connecting students with academic resources that will position them for continued growth and success.
Project-based learning opportunities are the hallmark of a Drexel education, allowing you to learn by doing. From Community-Based Learning courses that expand student perspectives through valuable relationships with our local and global community to collaboration opportunities with industry partners, such as The Baiada Institute’s biannual startup pitch competition, experiential education is always within your reach.

The Pennoni Honors College offers a supportive community that provides access to customizable educational opportunities, mentored experiential learning, and plenty of room for exploration, creativity, and imagination. Whether you want to pursue a Custom-Designed Major, experience undergraduate research, or apply for fellowships, Pennoni will support you every step of the way.

The ARC, located in the Korman Center, serves as an integrated hub of on-campus academic support services focusing on providing tutoring, academic coaching, workshops, specialized courses, and more.
The Steinbright Career Development Center is Drexel's world-class resource for career and cooperative education services and your connection to a constantly growing network of industry leaders around the globe.

Drexel University has comprehensive library resources for you to take advantage of, including over 300,000 pieces of media, study spaces, and the Drexel University Archives in the W. W. Hagerty Library.

The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University
Our nation's oldest natural sciences institution, the Academy of Natural Sciences has been affiliated with Drexel University since 2011.

Drexel is committed to providing unique and exciting opportunities for undergraduate students to create new knowledge in their fields. Our Undergraduate Research & Enrichment Programs (UREP) provide many ways for students to get involved. The STAR (Students Tackling Advanced Research) Scholars Program also offers an opportunity for highly motivated first-year students to engage in an early faculty-mentored undergraduate research, scholarship, or creative experience during the summer after their freshman year.

Every school at Drexel has exciting facilities for you to explore. From the Hybrid Making Lab and the Integrated Anatomical Sciences Lab to the Center for Law, Policy, and Social Action and the Nanomaterials Institute, Drexel offers the perfect places to discover something new.

The best way to understand the future is by visiting the past. Drexel is home to a number of art collections for you to explore. Some are permanent, such as the Robert and Penny Fox Historic Costume Collection, while others, such as the Drexel Founding Collection, rotate regularly.​
Founded in 1812, the Academy is the oldest natural history museum in the Americas and one of the country’s leading scientific institutions, with over 200 years of experience in curation, cutting-edge research, and education. Drexel students can visit the museum for free with their DragonCard!

Continue discovering by engaging in collaboration inside and outside of Drexel. Explore opportunities to put your research out into the world — through conferences, competitions, and more. The original Drexel Fight Song was written by Gay V. Piercy (Class of 1939) and Todd Groo (Class of 1941) and appeared for the first time in the October 1938 edition of the Drexel Athletic News. We encourage you to listen to this track whenever you want to spark that Dragon pride.

Drexel's Dragon Jedi Club consists of students with a passion for Star Wars, stunt saber choreography, character development, costuming, and stage combat.
Housing and Residence Life strives to establish innovative and creative ways to cultivate residential communities and assist students in achieving success. Take advantage of academic and social activities arranged by your Resident Assistant (RA).
You get to decide how to shape your journey as a Drexel Dragon! Drexel is home to more than 250 student clubs and organizations and over 30 Greek-letter organizations. Get a taste of the many experiences that are available and find something that speaks to you.
Watch your fellow Dragons bring the heat in basketball, field hockey, wrestling, lacrosse, and more. Go to a game for any of Drexel’s 18 Division I sports or 30+ club sports teams and show your Dragon pride!
Each term, hundreds of Drexel students from every college participate in performing arts groups through programs in dance, theatre and music. Join a performance ensemble or support your fellow students at our theaters!

Contribute to Your Community

As a member of the Drexel community, you are also a part of the Philadelphia community. There's so much to get involved in, on- and off-campus! Make a difference in your neighborhood and contribute.

Alongside The Writers Room, Ross Commons is home to dining and student areas such as lounges, game rooms, and study areas.
The Lindy Center is a welcoming place for all Drexel Dragons to get involved in civic engagement. Through education, reflection, and leadership development, the Lindy Center fosters a culture of civic responsibility at the University and builds student, faculty, and staff capacity to create a better world. Students can find volunteer opportunities on their Galaxy Civic Engagement Database.

The Dornsife Center is Drexel's community-based resource center, where the Drexel community and West Philadelphia residents and partners collaborate on issues of shared importance. Attend an event, such as the Monthly Community Dinner.
Drexel’s Writers Room is a university-community literary arts program engaged in creative placemaking and helping members find their voice. Students develop creativity, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and the ability to collaborate with diverse partners including local high schoolers and community members.

Elevate Your Wellness

To keep your mind healthy, you have to take care of your body. That’s where Drexel’s recreational, athletic, and health resources come in. Get involved with these resources to elevate.

Drexel University Recreation Center 
Opened in February 2010, the state-of-the-art Drexel University Recreation Center (Drexel URec) is the fitness hub in University City.
There are several important resources within Drexel’s Office of Counseling and Health, including the Student Health Center, the Counseling Center, and the Office of Health Insurance and Immunizations.
A great place to walk, run, or bike, there are more than 30 miles of the Schuylkill River Trail in Philadelphia and over 75 miles total. Schuylkill River Park is a convenient trailhead near Drexel.
Get involved with Drexel's many recreation opportunities, from the swimming pool and climbing wall at the Recreation Center to group exercise classes. Stay active, build community, and get motivated by everything our campus has to offer!

You can often find Drexel students playing pickup games of beach volleyball on Buckley Green. Buckley Green features two beach volleyball courts with lights for day and night play as well as grass space and a BBQ grill — a great social location for campus events.
