We connect students with educational, service, leadership, and relationship-building opportunities so they can be agents of social change in their local and global communities.
We support faculty and students leading Community-Based and Engaged Learning experiences—infusing this pedagogy into academics to make students more informed, engaged, and reflective about social issues.
We engage in mutually-beneficial partnerships that intentionally mobilize University assets for positive impact and value community members and organizations as educators and collaborators.

Michael is Vice President of Engineers Without Borders at Drexel, a Lindy Center student org partner. Students in EWB use their engineering skills to help international and local communities—Michael is mainly involved in domestic projects with EWB including work with local community gardens to build irrigation and solar power systems. EWB was awarded our Anti-Racist Civic Engagement mini-grant in 2023 to build a solar project at the Holly Street Neighbors Community Garden. He said, “Being apart of Drexel EWB has been great for enhancing my understanding of civic engagement… With Drexel being an urban campus, I think it is super important to give back to the neighborhoods where Drexel resides.”
