Minuteman Campaign
The Minuteman Campaign is a U.S. Army Cadet Command initiative to offer Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty (GRFD) scholarships to candidates that self-select for service in a Reserve component. The GRFD scholarship provides full tuition and fees or room and board ($10,000 per year) for up to four years at a public or private school.
Healthline Stronger Scholarship
Healthline is teaming up with The Nature Conservancy to award four $5,000 scholarships to students who are committed to making a difference at the intersection of health and climate change through their studies, extracurriculars and career goals.

"$$$ Isn't Everything" Scholarship
A monthly $550 scholarship meant to help reduce a little bit of financial worry for a new student or graduate each month, and to help someone get a bit of time back to focus on the important things in life. Open to all students. New winner announced and new deadline at the end of every month this year!
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) invites you to apply for our Health Professionals Scholarship Program (HPSP). Through the HPSP, we are offering educational assistance to students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a Master’s degree in Nursing (Mental Health Practitioners only), and after graduating you will receive additional training in order to enhance your skills as a nurse in a VA Residency program. In return, we’re asking selected applicants to join our growing team full time after graduation.

The Dean's Emergency Fund
The Dean's Emergency Fund was established by Dean Emeritus Gloria Donnelly. The fund is designed to support students in need of immediate financial assistance due to unexpected, unforeseen, and unavoidable emergency expenses created by circumstances such as accidents, illness, death of a family member, fire damage or need for temporary housing. Drexel's College of Nursing & Health Professions students in good academic standing may apply for assistance once they have exhausted all other resources. Emergency funding cannot be granted for tuition/fees or used to reimburse expenses already paid. If granted, the Dean's Emergency Funds are not required to be repaid. Funds distributed are generally limited to $500. Please note the Dean's Office may not be able to fulfill all requests.

Any students who would like to apply, and have not previously received Emergency Funds, can email their completed application and any supporting documents to cnhpscholar@drexel.edu. All for requests Dean's Emergency Funds are vetted through a review committee, and decisions are rendered within 48 business hours.
Expenses Eligible for Emergency Fund Coverage (not exhaustive):

Replacement of crucial educational supplies, essential personal belongings, or temporary housing needs, due to fire, theft, natural disaster, or other unforeseen hazards
- Travel costs related to death, crisis, or illness in the immediate family

Medications and additional expenses related to emergency medical care
- Safety needs (i.e. changing a lock)
Expenses Not Covered (not exhaustive):

Tuition, fees, health insurance, and study abroad costs
- Non-essential utilities (i.e. cable) or housing/furniture costs not related to damage or theft
- Regularly anticipated fixed expenses (i.e. rent)
- Parking tickets
- Entertainment, recreation, non-emergency travel or other non-essential expenses
- Other anticipated expenses
Student Requirements

Currently enrolled students in good academic standing
- Applicants must have an immediate financial hardship resulting from an emergency, accident, or other unexpected critical incidents
- The expense is unexpected, unforeseen, and unavoidable
- All other resources are exhausted, insufficient, or unavailable (i.e. emergency loans, scholarships, student aid)
- Must complete and submit Emergency Fund application supporting documentation
- Have not previously received Emergency Funds
Named Scholarships
Thanks to the generous support of Drexel University alumni, friends and other supporters, several named scholarships are available for CNHP students.
To be considered for any of these prestigious scholarships below, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0; be in good academic standing; and have demonstrated financial need. There are no applications required for these scholarships, and recipients are chosen by the College of Nursing and Health Professions, in consultation with the Office of Financial Aid.
Margaret Aiken Endowed Scholarship Fund
Several donors established this scholarship, specifically for nursing students, in 2005 in memory of nurse educator Margaret Aiken. To be eligible, students must be juniors or seniors enrolled in an undergraduate nursing program. Students must have demonstrated financial need and must submit an essay.
James H. Beaver, III Endowed Scholarship Fund
Margaret Beaver established this scholarship in 2000 in loving memory of her son, James Beaver, a former nursing student.
This scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate nursing students in the College of Nursing & Health Professions.
Department of Nursing Education Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established in 1987 in loving memory of Charlene Muhr, a 1982 graduate of the Associate Degree in Nursing Program.
This scholarship is available to undergraduate nursing students enrolled in the College of Nursing & Health Professions with cooperative education participation.
Edward T. Dobbins Scholarship Fund
Edward T. Dobbins established this scholarship, specifically for nursing students, through his estate in 1907.
This scholarship provides financial assistance to a “nursing student” in the College of Nursing & Health Professions, with a preference for a female.
Helene Fuld Health Trust Scholarship Fund
Dr. Leonhard Felix Fuld and his sister, Florentine established this scholarship in 2014, in honor of their mother, Helene.
This scholarship provides financial assistance to nursing students enrolled in the College of Nursing & Health professions in the Nursing Accelerated Career Entry program. Preference is given to students who have completed at least half of their program.
Dr. Donald L. Izzi Famly Practice Certified Physician Endowed Scholarship Fund
Sharon Lee Izzi, RN, a former College of Nursing & Health Professions employee, established this scholarship in 2009 in honor of her husband, Dr. Donald Izzi.
This scholarship is available to graduate nursing students in the Family Nurse Practitioner track. Students should demonstrate a strong desire to be an advocate for patient/client rights in the healthcare setting and also a strong clinical expertise.
Genevieve E. Lifshin Endowed Scholarship Fund
Robert Lifshin, a Drexel alumnus, established this scholarship in 2007, in loving memory of his wife, Genevieve.
This scholarship is available to students enrolled in a nurse education degree at the College of Nursing & Health Professions.
Elizabeth Hoffman Powell Scholarship Endowment for the School of Nursing
Elizabeth W. Parker established this scholarship in 1982 through her estate.
This scholarship is available to student nurses in financial need.
William E. and Theresa M. Rubert Memorial Trust Scholarship
Theresa Rubert entered Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing in 1926. With the help of a small loan from her sister, she was able to meet her tuition expenses and successfully complete her studies as a graduate nurse. To show her appreciation for her sister's loan, which made her education possible, this scholarship was established to provide help with tuition for nursing students in the College of Nursing & Health Professions.
This scholarship is available to first-degree students who maintain full time enrollment in an undergraduate nursing program and maintain acceptable clinical performance. Students must be going into their pre-junior or junior year with a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate a significant financial need. They must also be enrolled in the BSN Cooperative Education Program and satisfactorily complete their community service. The selection process takes place between March and April of each year.
School of Health Sciences & Humanities Scholarship Fund
Several donors established this scholarship, specifically for the health professions, in 1988.
This scholarship is available to students enrolled in Health Sciences & Humanities at the College of Nursing & Health Professions.
Southard Memorial Scholarship
Samuel and Edith Southard established this scholarship, specifically for nursing students, in 1979.
This scholarship is available to students enrolled in Nursing at the College of Nursing & Health Professions.
Helen H. Vogel Memorial Scholarship Fund
Several donors established this scholarship, specifically for nursing students, in 1968, in memory of Helen H. Vogel.
This scholarship is available to students enrolled in Nursing at the College of Nursing & Health Professions.
