General Regulatory Notice
All software and applications used at Drexel University, including the ones listed below, are subject to compliance policies and procedures and may have additional workflows specific to CNHP. Please get in touch with the lab director (cnhplabresearch@drexel.edu), if you are exploring the use of any software in your research.
REDCap
REDCap is a secure, web-based electronic data capture (EDC) system for building and managing online databases and surveys. REDCap's streamlined process for rapidly creating and designing projects offers a vast array of tools that can be tailored to virtually any data collection strategy. REDCap provides automated export procedures for seamless data downloads to Excel and common statistical packages (SPSS, SAS, Stata, R), as well as a built-in project calendar, a scheduling module, ad hoc reporting tools and advanced features, such as branching logic, file uploading and calculated fields. Data entry operators or people taking an online survey enter data in a web browser, either locally or from remote locations. The data is stored centrally in a secure MySQL database. A mobile application for both Android and iOS is also available in addition to an application programming interface (API) to allow the exchange of data between systems.

ResearchMatch
ResearchMatch is a secure, easy-to-use volunteer registry funded by the National Institutes of Health. Researchers from approved academic institutions like Drexel University can use ResearchMatch to find volunteers who are a correct fit for their research study. This partnership, which was started in 2020, has played a pivotal role in assisting researchers find participants for their health-related studies by tapping into a growing registry of volunteers nationwide.
