Ms. Leonberg joined the faculty as an adjunct instructor in 2004 and as a full-time faculty in 2006. Her background includes clinical practice, management and research. In addition to teaching, she provides nutrition services to children in Early Intervention in the city of Philadelphia, and is Editor-in-chief of the American Dietetic Association’s online Pediatric Nutrition Care Manual.

Courses taught by Ms. Leonberg include: Nutrition in the Life Cycle, Nutrition and Disease, Pediatric Nutrition, Nutrition Assessment, and the Profession of Dietetics. Ms. Leonberg is a registered dietitian (RD) and is licensed to practice in the state of Pennsylvania. She is a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP) and a Fellow of the American Dietetic Association (FADA).

Academic Distinctions:

Ms. Leonberg was recently awarded the Medallion Award by the American Dietetic Association in recognition of contributions to the profession.

Professional Society:

Ms. Leonberg has been an active leader in the American Dietetic Association (ADA), serving on the Board of Directors, Commission on Dietetic Registration and as chair of the Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group. She is currently serving on the ADA Council on Future Practice.
