Elizabeth Hammond-Ritschard, PhD, has over 40 years of experience in nursing. During that time, she has worked in many roles, including intensive care nursing, cardio-thoracic nursing, nursing supervisor, nurse educator and director of a nursing residency program. Hammond-Ritschard has presented at various national conferences on topics ranging from stress and coping strategies among Generation Z nursing students, creating a healthy work environment, incivility in the clinical setting and fostering teaching approaches that encourage faculty to implement evidence-based teaching strategies that support student engagement, accountability to help students achieve their highest potential. In 2015, Hammond-Ritschard was a visiting professor at the Eternal University in Himachal Pradesh, India.
Hammond-Ritschard has over 16 years of teaching experience. At Drexel University, she teaches Leadership and Management in Nursing, Nursing Research, Holistic Gerontology, Contemporary Nursing, Health Assessment and Foundations of Nursing Practice. She also serves as faculty counselor for the Drexel University Nu Eta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International.
