Interim Chair, Associate Teaching Professor
Health Sciences Department
Jodie Haak, PhD, joined the Health Sciences department in January, 2019 as an associate teaching professor. She earned her PhD in Integrative Physiology from the University of Iowa, where her research focused on oxidative stress and the cellular stress response related to aging. Haak will be teaching basic and advanced courses in anatomy and physiology, and she is taking on the role of associate chair that builds on her administration experience. Haak was previously at Messiah College, where she gained an understanding of curriculum assessment and teaching evaluation. She loves collaborating with colleagues and happy hours, and she does not see these things as mutually exclusive.
