The Senior Design three-course capstone design experience (BMES 491, 492, and 493) is intended to simulate a professional work environment, to provide experience working in a group on an open-ended problem, and to develop information gathering and communication skills. Substantial interaction among the students, faculty, and industrial and governmental institutions is an integral part of this experience.

What stands out in the individual contribution videos is how each member actually took the project in his/her own hands, researching their parts of solutions to shape the design. Our curriculum cherishes and promotes the active involvement and creativity of the students. The Senior Design Showcase is our way of providing a forum in which the project engineers (i.e., the students) can communicate their results to the community.
