STEM Leadership Pathways and Opportunities
The School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems is committed to creating an environment of Belonging, Involvement, Opportunity, Merit, Empowerment, and Distinction ('BIOMED'), with the goal of making education and research training opportunities available to all individuals regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, disability, or socioeconomic status. BIOMED’s commitment is demonstrated by the ongoing development of the STEM Leadership Pathways and Opportunities initiative (“SLPO”). BIOMED’s goal is to build a pathway for students of all socioeconomic backgrounds to become STEM Leaders in Biomedical Engineering by removing institutional and economic barriers and by providing accessible, supportive, and engaging educational and research opportunities
