Bachelor of Science in Sport Management

The BS in Sport Management is intended for students who plan to pursue careers in sport-oriented organizations such as professional sports teams, collegiate athletic departments, sport media networks, law firms, recreational sport organizations, and more.  Through a curriculum focused on the business of sport, the program offers coursework in management, media, law, marketing and other similar areas of interest.  This program draws on the strengths of many of the University’s academic programs, including business administration, communications and technology.

The program is distinguished by five points of differentiation - business curriculum, practitioner faculty, experiential learning, Philadelphia sports and global connections.  The department is uniquely positioned to offer the best environment for students to learn and study the business of sport.

Through the program, students develop a professional portfolio that will include such items as a press kit, facility operations manual, sponsorship deck, and a sports contract. Students will then refine their portfolio items and present the final product for review in their senior year.
