The beginning of Drexel's College of Nursing and Health Professions in 1890 coincides with the birth of Drexel University in 1891. Follow the trail of nursing education and the merger of health professions to the present day:

1890 -The Hahnemann Hospital Training School for Nurses opened.

1891 - Drexel Institute of Art, Science and Industry opened.

1923 - Co-operative Education Program Initiated.

1936 - Drexel Institute of Art, Science and Industry renamed the Drexel Institute of Technology.

1950s – Grace Kelly, native of East Falls, visited Nursing School.

1970 - Drexel Institute of Technology renamed Drexel University.

1970s - Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing Program converted to an Associate’s Degree in Nursing Program and housed in the Hahnemann University School of Health Sciences and Humanities.

1983- Drexel University became the first university in the country to require all entering students to have personal computers.

1993 - Medical College of Pennsylvania School of Medicine merged with Hahnemann University School of Medicine  - MCP Hahnemann University.

1995 – MCP Hahnemann University Department of Nursing renamed the MCP Hahnemann University School of Nursing.

1996 - Gloria Donnelly, Ph.D., R.N., F.A.A.N. appointed Dean of the MCP Hahnemann University School of Nursing.

1998 -Tenet Healthcare partnered with Drexel University to manage the renamed MCP Hahnemann University School of Nursing.

2000 – MCP Hahnemann University School of Nursing and School of Health Professions merged to become the MCP Hahnemann University College of Nursing and Health Professions.

2002- MCP Hahnemann University  College of Nursing and Health Professions acquired by Drexel University and renamed the Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions.

2002 - Opening of the 11th Street Family Health Services Center.

2005 - Drexel's College of Nursing and Health Professions graduated its first class of BSN Co-Op Program students.

2006 - Center for Interdisciplinary Clinical Simulation and Practice Opened.

2007 -Simulation Patient Labs opened with real actors.

2009 - Entering students receive iPod Touch.
