Drexel has pledged to continue our support of the WorkReady Philadelphia summer internship program, the citywide initiative managed by Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN) to help prepare young people for 21st century careers.

Drexel has made a special and ongoing commitment to work with teens and young adults from neighborhoods surrounding our campus and throughout West Philadelphia as a way to build a talent pipeline and help shape the future of our workforce. We know these young people are often challenged to learn about the jobs available at institutions like Drexel. We believe that the University has a special role to play in opening our doors to youth in the community.

To support this commitment, 40 intern positions on Drexel's campuses will be fully funded, allowing Drexel faculty and professional staff to mentor and support interns at no cost to their departments. This is made possible with support from the Office of University and Community Partnerships and the Office of the Executive Vice President. The 2019 Drexel WorkReady program will run from Monday, July 8, through Friday, August 16.
