Bruce Melgary

Bruce Melgary joined the Center as a senior fellow on March 1, 2016, with a primary responsibility to help Dr. Remer develop a strategic plan for the Center. Mr. Melgary has had a thirty-six-year career in nonprofit organization management, including serving for fifteen years as the executive director of The Lenfest Foundation. He manages The Allerton Foundation and The Brook J. Lenfest Foundation as an independent contractor.

From 1980 through 1999 Mr. Melgary was on the staff of the American Heart Association and was executive vice president of its Southeastern Pennsylvania Affiliate from 1989 to 1999. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Grove City College and a Master of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
