TLC Support for Course Redesign + Canvas Deadline Reminder
This message was shared with faculty and professional staff members on June 3, 2026.
Dear Colleagues,
As we approach important milestones in the curricular redesign of our quarter-based academic programs, the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) continues to offer a range of services to help individual faculty, departments and colleges advance this work. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of the TLC’s practical guidance, resources and collaborative opportunities — supporting small course adjustments to full-scale reinventions — including:
- Course Redesign Bootcamps: These hands-on sessions help faculty rethink course design, learning goals and assessments.
- Self-Paced Course Redesign Support for Instructors: This online resource allows faculty to explore course redesign strategies on their own schedule while receiving ongoing feedback and support.
- One-on-One Consultations: Faculty can schedule individualized support at any stage of the course redesign process.
- Customized Programming: Contact the TLC to learn how they are partnering with colleges, departments and programs to develop tailored programs and workshops.
Canvas Reminder
As a reminder, Canvas will serve as Drexel’s default learning management system (LMS) as of the Fall 2026 term. Faculty members are encouraged to try teaching in Canvas in the summer quarter, the final term before this transition.
To teach an upcoming course in Canvas, please contact your course scheduler. The Canvas Implementation Leads in your academic unit are available as resources for the transition at the local level. Faculty can also take advantage of resources such as TLC Canvas Bootcamps and Course Reviews, as well as Canvas Office Hours hosted by Instructional Technology Group. Details and registration information are available on the Faculty tab at drexel.edu/countdowntocanvas.
Sincerely,
