This message was shared with faculty on August 17, 2026.
Dear Faculty,
As of this fall term, Canvas will become Drexel’s default Learning Management System. All Fall 2026 courses for which you are listed as the Instructor of Record are now available in Canvas and ready for you to develop.
If you haven't already, we encourage you to begin setting up your courses as soon as possible to ensure a smooth start to the term. Access your courses by logging in to canvas.drexel.edu using your Drexel username and password.
Whether you're new to Canvas or looking for a refresher, here are some quick resources to help you get started:
- Checklist for Creating Your First Canvas Course: A step-by-step guide to help you build Canvas courses.
- Instructional Technology Group (ITG) Canvas Trainings: Register for live workshops and training sessions designed to help you build and manage your Canvas courses.
- Countdown to Canvas Faculty Guides: Explore additional how-to guides, FAQs, and resources for teaching in Canvas.
If you have questions or need assistance with Canvas, the Instructional Technology Group is available to help at itg@drexel.edu.
As a reminder, Blackboard Learn Original will remain available for reference through December 31, 2026. After that date, student access will end, and courses will become view-only for faculty.
Thank you for your partnership and efforts throughout Drexel's transition to Canvas.
Sincerely,
