Honors Medallion Ceremony 2022 Livestream: June 7 | 3 pm
Graduation Application and Clearance Process
Honors Program students should apply for their degree via DrexelOne. You can find the application process here. There is not a separate Honors graduation application; Honors staff will automatically check clearances for all Honors students who apply to graduate with the university. Any students who have applied to graduate will be notified of their final Honors or Honors with Distinction graduation clearance status during week 11 of each term.
Walk-through Process: If you are planning to participate in commencement activities at the end of the Spring term but will not be graduating until Summer, please complete a Walkthrough Form with your advisor prior to the start of the Spring term. If your Honors Program requirements are not finished, you should reach out to an Honors Program advisor to discuss your plans for completion and your ability to participate in our Spring commencement activities. You can find additional Walkthrough information here.
Honors Medallion Ceremony
The Honors Program of the Pennoni Honors College recognizes graduating Honors Program students each year at an Honors Medallion Ceremony. The Honors Medallion Ceremony is a special event that our graduates are invited to attend in addition to their College and University-wide Commencement Ceremonies. During this hour-long event, graduates are awarded a medallion for their accomplishments within the Honors Program in front of their families and friends as well as Pennoni Honors College faculty and staff.
This year, the Honors Medallion Ceremony details are as follows:
2022 Honors Medallion Ceremony
When: Tuesday, June 7th, 2022 at 3 p.m.
Where: Recreation Center Gym located at 33rd and Market Streets
(All guests should enter the facility via Fitness Plaza on Lancaster Walk)
Please note: Graduates must have completed the specified program requirements for graduating with either Honors or Honors with Distinction and received confirmation of their completed requirements by the Honors Program to be eligible to participate in the Medallion Ceremony.
Questions? Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have been cleared to graduate with Honors or Honors with Distinction and plan to attend the Honors Medallion Ceremony, you MUST reserve tickets for yourself and your guests through the Ticket Reservation Form (which is sent to all cleared students via email) and pick up your physical tickets on ticket pick-up day. Due to capacity limitations, each graduate is eligible to reserve one ticket for themselves and may add up to two additional tickets for their guests. Additional guest tickets will be made available through our Guest Ticket Lottery process on a space-available basis.
Physical tickets must be presented by each attendee at time of the event in order to gain entry into the Honors Medallion Ceremony.
This year, students may pick up reserved tickets to the Honors Medallion Ceremony on the following date and time:
Ticket Pick-Up Day
When: Tuesday, May 10 through Thursday, May 12, 9:30am-4:00pm
Where: Front Desk, 2nd Floor, Bentley Hall
*IMPORTANT: If you do not complete the Ticket Reservation Form (which is sent to all cleared students via email) to reserve your Medallion Ceremony tickets for yourself and your guests and/or if your fail to pick up your reserved tickets by the deadline, your tickets will be forfeited over to the guest ticket lottery system and distributed to other families in need of additional space.
Guest Ticket Lottery:
What is it?
The guest ticket lottery is a chance to receive additional guest tickets above your current reservation amount. Any student interested in obtaining additional guest tickets through the lottery may enter to receive up to three additional tickets through the lottery system. Honors graduates who do not plan to attend the Medallion ceremony or who have not picked up their reserved tickets by the pick-up deadline will forfeit their tickets to the guest ticket lottery system. We will begin the selection process for lottery tickets once the ticket pick-up deadline has passed, generally in late May.
How do I sign up?
Students who have been cleared to graduate by the Honors Program should receive a direct link to reserve Medallion Ceremony tickets as part of their graduation clearance communication. Students may indicate their interest in signing up for the guest ticket lottery on the same form in which they reserve their Medallion Ceremony tickets.
What happens if I am selected?
If you are selected in the guest ticket lottery, you will be notified via your Drexel email of any available lottery tickets that you are eligible to claim. Once you are notified of your selection, you will have 24 hrs from the time of notification to claim the lottery tickets. If you fail to claim the lottery tickets by the deadline, they will be returned to the lottery and a new name will be drawn.
The dress code for our graduates is Business Casual. Students should not wear their regalia to this event.
Graduates with Honors and Honors with Distinction will be awarded medallions for their accomplishments. Individual graduates will be recognized on stage during the Medallion Ceremony and presented with their Medallion by the Dean.
