As part of the Planning Grant project we are hosting the NSF Industry/University Cooperative Research Centers (I/UCRC) Workshop at the Plasma Institute on December 4th and 5th 2014. The I/UCRC Program provides the structure for conducting research that is of interest to both industry and the university involved, including giving industry and government a means to leverage R&D investments, while providing universities opportunities to conduct industrially relevant research, and receive funding and recognition as a NSF research center. The meeting at DPI will reference such collaborative opportunities in plasma science.
