Advisory Board
The Nyheim Plasma Institute advisory board is comprised of a small group of the Institute’s strongest and most dedicated supporters who have made outstanding contributions to the Institute. The members of the advisory board bring a diverse set of experiences and knowledge that includes business, civic leadership, and scientific research. They are available to advise the director and NPI faculty on a range of strategic issues including organizational development, institutional advancement, and further directions of scientific research.
Michael Keidar
A. James Clark Professor of Engineering, GW School of Engineering and Applied Science. Michael Keidar's Micropropulsion and Nanotechnology Lab conducts advanced fundamental and applied research in plasma medicine, micropropulsion for micro and nanosatellites, and plasma nanoscience and nanotechnology.
Alexander Gutsol
Chief Science Officer for the incubator. He has authored 24 patents and several hundred peer reviewed articles. Alex was the co-founder of the Drexel Plasma Institute and was a lab director for Chevron.
Shailesh Gangoli
Global Strategic Account Manager. Manage the global strategic relationship, technology alignment and business growth with customers in the Electronics industry
Yevgeny Raitses
Principal Research Physicist at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL)
Fellow of the American Physical Society and an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He is also an Associate Editor of Journal of Applied Physics.
David Staack
