Liquids Crack With an Audible Snap, Study Finds

Thamires Lima, PhD, an assistant professor, and Nicolas Alvarez, PhD, a professor, both in the College of Engineering, were quoted in a March 31 Gizmodo feature on their discovery that simple liquids can break like solids under extreme stress. The discovery was also featured in Science Daily and industry tap stories on March 30 and April 1, respectively.
