Scientists Use Light To Expand Implants, Reducing Child Heart Surgeries

Christopher Rodell, PhD, an assistant professor in the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems, was quoted in an Aug. 19 Interesting Engineering story about his work with Amy Throckmorton, PhD, and Kara Spiller, PhD, both professors in the College, to develop a heart implant that can be resized using light.
