Matthew Stamm, PhD, an associate professor in the College of Engineering, was quoted in an April 2 Philadelphia Inquirer story explaining how artificial intelligence technology is used to create deepfakes and how it could be employed to spread disinformation during the presidential election. A related April 1 story that also featured Stamm, was republished by dozens of outlets across the country, including the Boston Herald, The Baltimore Sun and The Trentonian (New Jersey).
