Margaret Larkins-Pettigrew, MD, a professor and academic chair in the College of Medicine, was quoted in an April 16 WPXI-TV (NBC-Pittsburgh) segment about Pittsburgh having some of the highest maternal death rates in the country, with Black women dying at rates two to three times higher than their white counterparts.
