Jennifer Quinlan, PhD, a professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions, was quoted in a Dec. 22 National Geographic article the history and health risk of washing raw poultry before cooking it.

Drexel College of Engineering's Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics was highlighted in Dec. 22 WCAU-TV (NBC-10), Technical.ly Philly, South Philly Review and Mass Transit magazine stories, as a contributor in research and development of Pennsylvania's first self-driving shuttle system, which will begin operation at the Navy Yard this month.

Evan Forman, PhD, a professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, was quoted in a Dec. 21 Today.com article about advantages and disadvantages of weight loss programs.

President John Fry was quoted in Dec. 21 Philadelphia Inquirer, Philly Voice, Metro Philadelphia, MyChesCo (Chester County) and Philadelphia Business Journal stories about Drexel obtaining the naming rights for SEPTA's 30th Street Station on the Market-Frankford Line. The agreement was also highlighted in WTXF-TV (FOX-29), WPHL-TV (PHL-17), KYW-TV (CBS-3), WHYY-Radio and KYW-Newsradio (1060-AM) broadcasts on Dec. 22.

Bruce Katz, JD, distinguished fellow in the Lindy Institute for Urban Innovation, authored a Dec. 11 article in The Philadelphia Citizen about federal-city partnerships that could radically reform transit systems.

The piece was picked up by a number of other media outlets, including Yahoo! News and the research was also highlighted in Dec. 11 Engineers Outlook and Institution of Mechanical Engineers posts.

Daniel Albert, PhD, an assistant professor in the LeBow College of Business, was interviewed in the Dec. 5 episode of KYW-Newsradio's "In Depth" podcast about the turmoil at OpenAI and what it could mean for the future of artificial intelligence.

Mathy Stanislaus, vice provost and executive director of Drexel's Environmental Collaboratory, authored a Dec. 5 Philadelphia Inquirer column about the world convening in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for COP28 and the ways Pennsylvania can combat climate change. Stanislaus was also quoted in a Dec. 5 WHYY story about COP28.

The Dragons' historic victory was featured in a number of stories over the weekend, including pieces in The Inquirer, The Washington Post, the Associated Press, Philly Voice and mentioned during WPVI-TV (6-abc) and WCAU-TV (NBC-10) newscasts.

A Nov. 29 piece in The Conversation about the social and cultural impact of chatGPT on the first anniversary of its launch, authored by Tim Gorichanaz, PhD, an assistant teaching professor in the College of Computing & Informatics, was published by UPI on Dec. 1, which led to it being picked up by dozens of news sites associated with local television outlets across the country, as well as MSN, Yahoo! News and Government Technology.
